Meela’s reaction makes me think of when Edward and Alphonse Elric don’t want to have to kill the bunny…

    BTW, Feral’s chibi-face in panel 1: PRICELESS!

This whole page is one of my favorites. Every panel is amazing, especially Feral’s expression and fingerpoint in the fifth panel.

She’s just hit upon an oft overlooked truth. It’s the same thing with all animals. If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be vegetarian.

In modern times, maybe, but try telling that to all those people who used to hunt, kill, skin, cook, and eat their own meat. Seeing it never stopped them. Sometimes the food chain gets ugly.

Nowadays there’s just so much food we have the luxury of being picky about what we eat.

Plus I gotta say the old way of hunting, skinning and cooking your own meat had so much more respect for animals than slaughterhouses do. They’re just chains that push frightened stressed animals in one end and pull packaged meat out the other.
At least with hunting there’s chance and fate involved and older cultures always paid respects to whatever creature they brought down.

Lol sorry rant ove, I’m vego so it always bugs me when peeps are like “but how do you LIVE without meat?!?!?”
        a) I am not exactly wasting here b) you ever actually killed an animal?

But OMG LOVE this page. THAT RABBIT’S FACE! xpx

Respect means nothing to the animal you eat.
          Not a single damned thing.
So far the only appeal I see in the old ways is not being beholden to anyone else for it.

LOL I have to admit, I’d have basically the same reaction as Feral; I’ve been plucking and learning to gut chickens and turkeys since I was little! LMAO at Feral and Meela’s expressions!!!
